RONALD REAGAN…..I THOUGHT MY FIRST COLLEGE DEGREE WAS AN HONORARY ONE

Ronald Reagan was a poor student. Admittedly so. He earned only one A in 4 years of college. His senior year GPA was 1.96.

When he returned to Eureka College from where he had graduated as President of the United States to receive an honorary degree, Reagan joked, “I thought my first Eureka degree was an honorary one.”

The Pentagon is posting cryptic Biblical messages on Social Media. By so doing, Hegseth portrays himself as a God fearing creature. He and Trump promoting themselves in effect as ultimate religious creatures. Phonies in the highest regard. Politics at its worst! 

Canada continues standing firm against Trump. Canada defeats Trump every time Trump says something negative about Canada.

The U.S. and Iran for the first time in a month have attacked each other. The U.S. struck down launchers placing mines in the Strait of Hormuz. In retaliation, Iran bombed Jordan.

ICE deports some persons to countries the deportees have no relationship to. Why doesn’t ICE deport them to their countries of origin? Hard enough for the deportees as it is.

There is an increase in the number of people sneaking into sewers in New York City. No one knows why. The City is concerned because of underground dangers that exist in the sewers.

An article in this morning’s New York Times says successful people have one habit in common: A willingness to ask for help. Do not be ashamed to ask if a need arises. People are generally happy to help. 

The most popular dances in the 1800s: Waltz, polka, quadrille, cakewalk, two-step, and sadie-hawkins. Only two or three remain popular today.

I began practicing law in 1960. A law office back then had things that are no longer used in law offices or any other type office today. Like a rolodex, projectors, carbon copy paper, adding machines, and dictaphones.

Mercurochrome. A 1950s medical remedy. A small bottle of bright red fluid kept in the medicine cabinet to disinfect small scrapes and bruises. In its later life, also available on band aids. Not available today.

Is the experience of death and the after life as many describe it today for real. They know! How? The dead speak not. I find the knowledge they project amusing. Sells books and articles, however.

Trump can be a big help. “Help” the operative word. If you fail him, he helps not. Western North Carolina needed hurricane assistance. It got ICE instead.
