The assassination attempt last night was inevitable. Only surprised me in one fashion. I have been waiting for a MAGA crazy to attempt killing Biden.
Whoever really immaterial. Toxicity has no place in American politics. We have reached a dangerous place in American politics. One we should not want.
I now will be waiting for the next bullet to be shot. This one at Biden. Some whacked out Republican believing he has to get even for the shots fired at Trump.
I blame Trump for the shooting. He has riled up voters in this country to expect the worst and perpetrate the worst. January 6 being a worst example. His strategy backfired this time. A crazy Democrat believed it necessary to take things into his own hands.
The shooting does not change things. Keep in mind a Trump victory will mean a different country. Violence will be common place and accepted. Turmoil will rule the day. Trump has already told us the many changes he will make. Hitlerism will be a part of our daily lives. Why can’t everyone understand that?
Ruth Wertheimer died at 96. A well known sex therapist known to millions as “Dr. Ruth.”
Frank in her responses. She was a fireball. Did not beat around the bush. Interesting coming from a woman only 4 feet 7 inches tall.
A Holocaust survivor, she became the prominent sex therapist in the U.S. in the 1980’s and continued to be such for the next 30 years.
Another old timer has passed on. Richard Simmons. Only 76.
He ignited the fitness revolution in the 1980’s. He did a TV show. Viewers exercised with him. I did it for a couple of years.
He helped many with his program.
So much for Sunday. Enjoy your day!

Hate and fear speech is a big part of the problem. Instead, let’s discuss the platforms. Okay?
Louis is a sicko.
The kind of response you might expect from a MAGA, and typical of what I read on the right wing press and blogs.
It ignores the more responsible reporting that this would be asisin was actually a registered Republican.
AND – perhaps only coincidentally Trump tweeted this one hour before the rally – “ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE IN ONE HOUR! When I take the rally stage, I could be making a MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT that’s sure to strike FEAR into the hearts of our DEEP STATE ENEMIES.”
…in in itself rather inflammatory and violent.
So let’s not point fingers without telling the larger story of a deranged candidate.
Wow. Your mental too
Sounds like everyone you disagree with is “mental”? I think you
are just a Schmgegge
Trump has been spouting violence for as long as I can remember and on just about any topic you can think of. Remember his rallies in 2016 when he kept talking about punching those that speak out against him and how he’d pay for anyone’s legal fees to defend their action.
Now the chickens have come home to roost, they want to blame everyone but themselves. Turns out the shooter is a registered REPUBLICAN.
The chickens do come home to roost
Amen !!! asuming Republicans actually have a platform this go around. Let’s not forget The RNC did not release a new platform during the 2020 presidential elections, opting instead to say (when asked (officially) “it’s the same as in 2016.”
Interestingly, there are 100 million highly pissed off Republicans and no cities are being burned down. Think about it Linda.
I have thought about the 100 million pissed off Republicans who only get pissed off when they can’t avoid the blame when it’s unavoidably obvious it’s their own fault.
We have not had that kind of mayhem, since Biden has been president and the can not now blame even this mess on anyonw but themselves and their corrupt violent leader, Donald Trump.
Republicans seem to love this violence. Just listen to Trump’s speaches.
I am shocked at the rhetoric in your article. Such language can incite violence and deepen divisions, which is harmful and irresponsible. Suggesting that violence against political figures is inevitable or normal is troubling and undermines democratic principles.
Our community values civil discourse, mutual respect, and the rule of law. Encouraging or predicting violence goes against these values. I am appalled that Konk Life would publish such content. We must strive for higher standards in our public dialogue and promote unity and constructive discussion.
The Konk Life and its contributors should consider the impact of their words and reject divisive and harmful rhetoric, as you have spewed in favor of messages that unite and respect all individuals, which is what Key West is all about.
“There are none so blind as those who will not see.”
You are either a troll or a fool. Perhaps you have mistakenly sent your antique ideals email to the wrong place, please redirect to “trump.org” or any one of the many other MAGA sites one sees on EVERY corner.
If you want to criticize “Konk Life” properly, you should do that by sending your email to them, or at the very least refer to them in the third person?
Criticizing “Konk Life” on some one elses blog just exposes your confusion as to reality and facts, or maybe that you are just sending the same “spam” email to lot’s of people at once and really don’t know what you are doing.
Either way you seem more like a political troll than a serious reader/person.
Please cease and desist.
