A major difference exists with the U.S. President, however. Trump is not Roosevelt. Trump is actually on the side of Putin. Trump is Putin’s friend. Will forever be, no matter what his dialogue may be on a day to day basis. At the moment, Trump is doing whatever he considers necessary to win the Nobel Peace Prize.

How will a satisfactory resolution come about? I don’t know. Questionable. Trump no help. The European nations that remain fearful no help either.
I fear Putin will first get his Hitler type reward before ending up buried in a hole as Hitler was.
Everything and anything possible. Trump may surprise everyone and remain forever on Ukraine’s side in total opposition to Putin. I seriously doubt it, however.

Since his election we now have wars in the middle east (owed Netanyahu) and a huge uptick with Russia and Ukraine (owed Putain) threatening all of NATO and Europe.
Our own government now has US troops on city streets (without state’s rights consideration) and Trump himself has openly said he wishes to take control of Canada as an additional state and Greenland, forcibly, if needed.

This is a regional war between two sovereign countries, with a LONG connection and history. Russia attacked Ukraine, in a land grab and Ukraine fought back. The trouble began when Russia started to loose the battle, so they bribed America (getting Trump elected) who then abruptly switched sides and helped Russia (our long term enemy) into bullying Ukraine and helping Russia win.
Biden had helped Ukraine (our longtime ally), maintain a good balance, without actually interfering so much, unlike Trump who has put his thumb on the scale, interfering because Putin has HIS thumb on Trump. America is owned by by Putin.
Trump is the cause of all of this, not Biden. This isn’t a contest between them, it is a cheap story about how TRUMP sold out America, so that Putin would help him win an American election (twice)?

No, Obama did not give Crimea to Russia. Crimea was annexed by Russia in 2014 after a referendum that was held following the occupation of the peninsula by Russian forces. The referendum result, with a large reported vote in favor of joining Russia, was not internationally recognized, and most countries continue to view Crimea as Ukrainian territory
