Bad boy at it again. Trump is seriously considering giving the President extraordinary power over voting. His tool the one he uses to do things his way when there is no other way. The Executive Order. The Constitution says voting power belongs to the States.
I fear Donald is readying himself for a third run at the Presidency in November 2027. The Constitution only allows a President two terms. Trump wants three.
If the Executive Order is legal, it would also give Trump significant control over State elections.
When will Trump realize the American people do not want a king? Citizens, whether Democrats, Republicans, Liberal, Conservatives, etc., do not want a monarchy. The November elections will prove it when the Democrats are victorious in the November mid-term elections.
When will Trump get the opportunity to testify before a Congressional Committee re the Epstein files and his involvement/participation if any in Epstein’s highly immoral activities? The Republican controlled Committee had subpoenaed Hilary Clinton to testify re the papers. Yesterday she was subjected to six hours of time wasted questioning.
Her position was the same as it has been over the years. She knew nothing. The deposition was “political theater” in her words. She testified she never flew on Epstein’s plane, visited his island, offices or home. Nevertheless they kept beating at her. She claims the hearing was “repetitive” and “unproductive.”
They ran out of Epstein issues to ask her about. So they went to U.F.O.s. Pedophilia in flying saucers? If so, how?
Hilary was also questioned about Epstein’s close female cohort Ghislaine Maxwell. The reason being she attended her daughter Chelsea Clinton’s wedding. Turns out Maxwell was not invited. She was “a guest of a guest at the wedding.” Clinton “did not really know or talk to her in any way.”
Former President Clinton will testify today.
I am confused. England and other European nations are going after and crucifying anyone related to or mentioned in the Epstein papers. Heads continue to role.
In the U.S., we are sitting on our asses. It is obvious Republicans are or may be protecting Trump and prominent persons mentioned. Lets get at whatever the expose is and get Epstein behind us. There are more important matters for our government to be concerned with.
Trump said in his State of the Union Address that the U.S. is in its “Golden Age.” Not so. Actually the opposite is true.
War or no war with Iran. Things now look like there may not be a war. If so, why did Trump recently send 150 war planes to Europe and the Middle East?
Is Trump linked to the Mexican drug cartel?
Enough of the Donald!
To other matters.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. a disaster. Even before he became a member of the President’s Cabinet. A man who admits that in his earlier days he licked cocaine off the rim of a toilet bowl. Does he think that experience qualifies him to be a Cabinet member today?
We all know he is anti-vaccine. So far it has generally been limited to children. An item in this morning’s Washington Post concerns me. An Opinion piece claims Kennedy is next coming for the elderly with his anti-vaccine crap. Wrong!!! I am 90 and want every shot I can get!
Babysitting has become lucrative. UrbanSitter has done a study. The most expensive city is San Francisco at $29.63 per hour. The cheapest San Antonio at $18.21. I recall the late 1950s when we started with babysitters. Twenty five cents an hour. Rose over the years to $.75 an hour. Then we did not need them any longer.
La Concha Hotel is 100 years old this year. A major hotel on central Duval Street. I stayed there on my first trip to Key West many years ago and a few times thereafter.
Remember when ordinary every day Americans could afford a new car? Good luck! No more!
Syracuse University has purchased three near downtown hotels and turned them into dormitories.
Tennessee Williams died February 26,1983. He lived many years on Duncan Street in Key West. His home 1 1/2 blocks from Lisa and Corey’s.
A glorious day for the U.S. On February 26, 1945, U.S. troops recaptured the Philippine island of Corregidor.
I rested all day yesterday. In bed. The first three days of the week were busy with doctors and nurses. I was exhausted.
I continue to remind you of Mark Kelly. The correct person to be our next President.
Enjoy your day!
