The Military Religious Freedom Foundation has reported receiving hundreds of complaints from military personnel about leadership framing the conflict as a religious mission intended to trigger the “rapture” and the end of times.
Of all people, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth appears to be a leader of a cult movement so involved. He is constantly utilizing Biblical ideology to describe the war against Iran.
The use of religious rhetoric has been condemned by some religious leaders as “dangerous” and a violation of the Constitution’s separation of church and state, Some describe it as “blasphemy.”
