I’m back! Was under the weather for a few days. Did nothing, including my beloved blog.

I begin with a highlight which occurred just before I slowed down. I had brunch with some friends. Good people all! Joanne and Lou. At their home. Joanne a CFO and a cook exemplary! Lou an adviser of sorts. An AI expert. Then there was Ennid and David. Ennid writes for KONK Life. Does reviews of Red Barn shows. David a retired anesthesiologist. The group concluded with my dear friend Fred and his wife Joanne. 

Two Joanne’s. How lucky could I be!

Fred a retired New York City attorney. A retired labor lawyer who represented the management side of the table. Joanne  an artist. Shows at Harrison Gallery.       .

The food and company were excellent. 

Almost forgot…..Joanne and Lou’s dogs. Two. Part of the family. All over us in a nice way.

Trump! Tons of Trump to write about. Frankly, I am sick of writing and hearing about him. The worst President in our history.

The big story during my absence was the Davos meeting re Greenland. From Donald’s perspective a victory. How I know not. The tariffs were removed. Greenland remains as it was. So how the Trump victory?

Trump always wants to get even. No way to make friends. There was a USA House in Davos. California Governor Newson was blocked from entry. Childish bullshit on Trump’s part.

Trump has a burning desire to destroy or sell everything. Nothing is sacred.

His newest gambit is his attempt to sell the “Sistine Chapel of the New Deal.” Contained in the Wilbur J. Cohn Federal Building. Contains art created from 1940-1942 by unemployed artists. A piece of America.

The man has no respect for American history.

Women won a big time right this day in 1973. The Supreme Court decided Roe v. Wade guaranteeing American women the right to an abortion.

A major day in Key West history! Gathered the largest crowd up to that day in Key West. It was January 22, 1912. Henry Flagler rode on the first railroad trip all the way to Key West. It was on the Overseas Extension of the Florida East Coast Railroad.

Americans are finding it cheaper and more convenient to have one home rather than two. The southern warm winter home is slowly becoming a thing of the past. Why have two homes when one will do it! Cheaper and generally in a cheaper state to live. Referred to as “permanent relocation.”

The five best jobs in 2026. Surprise! All in the medical field: Anesthesiologist, psychiatrist, orthodontist, obstetrician/gynecologist, and radiologist.

Love Fran Dixon! I mentioned on the phone a few days ago how much I enjoyed her home made fudge which she periodically sends me. Yesterday, I received a small heavy box in the mail. Fran’s fudge! Made my day!  

Some Januarys are warm. The weather does not change. Others are cold. very cold. We appear to be in a cold one this year. 

I hate it! I am a warm weather freak. I have been wearing long kakis, a sweatshirt and leather jacket. I hate those who walk around in shorts and a shirt uttering how much they love the present weather.

High 50s and mid to high 60s have been common the past few days. Will warmup a bit today. High will be 73. Still cold for me! Low 68.

A busy day ahead. Renew some prescriptions, a haircut with Lori, followed by a manicure with Tammy. Then a light lunch somewhere.

I am consistent. My man for President in 2028 remains Mike Kelly. Presently a U.S. Senator, former astronaut and 25 year Navy veteran where he at one time captained an aircraft carrier.

Evidence that he might be right for the job is Trump has been on his ass recently. Coming up with bullshit things to attack him with.

Key West cold does not require snow. The temperature alone does it.

Yesterday’s high was 64. Comparable to 10 degrees above zero and 10 inches of newly fallen snow in upstate New York. Even my butt was cold yesterday and early into the night. I have a small heater which only minimally helps. Wore a sweatshirt all day and night. Slept under a heavy quilt during the evening.

The temperature will rise today. Will reach 70 degrees at 1 p.m. The high today at 3 when it will hit 74. Understand how this affects me. I am cold up to and including 74 degrees. As are other Key Westers. Warm begins kicking in at 75. Only those who live in the lower Keys can understand. Those further north laugh. They understand not. You have to experience Key West cold to comprehend.

This afternoon at 2 will find me at the bar at Brady’s Irish Pub. I am going to try watching the Syracuse/Boston College game from the bar. Spoke with Carolla yesterday to set things up for me.

Hope my ankle can handle it.

I have missed Syracuse’s last three games because of the ankle. Syracuse on a roll. Won all three. Hope they win today.

Trump a sensitive person. Thin skinned. Like crepe paper. Easily offended. 

Trump threatening tariffs on Nations that “don’t go along” with his Greenland plans. A first class asshole!

I suspect Trump is at the point where he is most unpopular. He may know it, though I suspect he tries to hide it with his false bravado.

Trump more recently giving the finger and fucking this and that. Great conduct by a U.S. President! He has regurgitated back 50 years to a construction site. 

Trump is making it difficult for the U.S. to negotiate with other countries. His personality and disposition make him the worst to discuss matters with. It is all him in any negotiation.

I spoke of grocery  and restaurant prices yesterday. Another super market item where the consumer is silently screwed involves cereals. Boxed cereals. Rather than reduce the size of the box or merely raise the price, the cereal producer leaves box size as it was. However reduces the contents inside. Consumers can’t tell if the volume is 20 percent less when the purchase is made.

The manufacturer/producer and grocery store come out ahead. The buyer loses. Less product and no recompense in his paycheck or from anyone to make up for the loss in product and monies. The only ones to come out ahead are the producer and super market.

We can’t win!

Many years ago the “weekend” consisted of one day. Sunday. Workers took Mondays off on their own and with no pay. Mondays were generally used to continue “imbibing” or to recover from Sunday’s drinking. Mondays were in effect an unofficial holiday. Referred to as “Saint Monday.” The Saint reference never understood.

Thieves pulled off the famous Brink’s robbery in Boston this day in 1950. I remember the notoriety associated with the theft. $2 million. $29 million in today’s money. The thieves were caught in January 1956 just days before the Statute of Limitations expired.

Benjamin Franklin was born this day in 1706.

I repeat my choice for President in 2028. Mike Kelly. Can’t beat a U.S. Senator, former astronaut and 25 year Navy captain. Donald never any of the three.

I ran into an interesting situation re the cost of food the past few days. The sneaky way we consumers are being had.

Lets begin with Publix. A great super market. Nevertheless putting it to consumers. I shopped yesterday. Generally purchase fresh cut cake at the bakery department. Yesterday, I opted for sliced banana walnut loaf cake. Price appeared to be the same $6.99. When I got home, I noticed the slices were smaller. Considerably. By 25-30 percent.

Smart but deceptive move. Keep the price the same, but the size smaller.

Another deception occurred at Denny’s. Denny’s serves good food at reasonable prices. 

For some time they have been providing what they describe as “$5 Slammin’ Meals.” I particularly enjoyed the egg meal. Two eggs, potatoes and toast. This week I noticed the cost was up $.99. The $5 meal now $5.99. A 20 percent increase. No notice. Window advertising still $5 as was the menu.

I politely asked if there was a mistake. No mistake. The price was up almost $1. A few days later a new menu with the increased cost. Yesterday the massive $5 window advertising gone.

I might add that even at $5.99 the egg meal still a bargain from my perspective.

My problem is Publix and Denny’s can raise prices and get away with it. The consumer is stuck with the increase. The consumer can’t go to his employer or Social Security and say hey, the store increased its price. The consumer has to eat the increase, yet big Publix and Denny’s do not.

Not fair, not right. On the other hand, I am not aware of a solution.

Trump promised a manufacturing boom. We are still waiting for it.

Last year’s Nobel Peace Prize winner was Venezuela’s Maria Corina Machado. She was at the White House yesterday. Gave her medal to Trump. His desire for the medal desperate. It did not matter he got it second hand.

Machado trying to help her country by giving the medal to Trump. Trump not understanding not the way to receive such a medal. The Nobel Prize Committee said they do not recognize the transfer.

Donald does not care. He got the medal. What he wanted. Such is all that concerns him. He wants what he wants and does not care how he gets things as long as he gets them.

Syracuse has won its last three basketball games. On a run! Playing Boston College tomorrow at 2. I hope to watch the game. Where I watch it from depends on my ankle.

Trump so anti-black. It oozes out of his pores. He claims white people have been treated “very badly” because of civil rights legislation among other things. I do not agree. Trump speaking words of hatred. He is not really President of all the people. I sometimes wonder if he is President of anyone other than himself.

Martin Luther King, Jr.: “Freedom is never voluntarily given by the oppressor; it must be demanded by the oppressed.”

On this day in 1919, a sufficient number of States ratified Prohibition which then became law. Ultimately a failure. Caused more problems than it cured.

I flew commercially for the first time in 1960. Back then people dressed. Men wore suits and ties. Women dresses and stockings. No one dressed as they do today. The ultimate in casualness. Even down to pajamas. Flyers dress the ultimate in sloppiness.

Last year, the Transportation Department decided to bring “courtesy and class to air travel” again. No sign of success so far.

Hiram Revels a name few if any Americans know. He was the first African-American to serve in Congress. The year 1901.

The last two Key West evenings cold. I have turned on the heat.

Washington Post News picture this morning shows a a security militant firing directly into a crowd in an American city. The article reports such shootings going on in at least six cities,

America? Disgraceful! 

Trump is encouraging a revolutionary uprising as well as an international war. Is he seeking to destroy us? The man is mad. He must be deposed.

Trump seems to love the cold north. First, it was Iceland. Now, Greenland. A meeting was held. Vance and Rubio represented the U.S. No agreement was reached. All that came out of it was a “high end working group.” Four persons. Vance, Rubio and two representing Greenland.

Trump wants, wants and continues to want. Countries in Central and South America. The far north. Europe.

Claims he will fight to gain control of some. How many wars can the U.S. wage at one time! NATO will become involved. Trump sounds like Hitler in the mid to late 1930s. He will end up as Hitler did in 1945. The problem is he will take America down as Hitler took Germany.

And if there is a war, our young will be drafted. Such must include Barron. No bullshit bone spurs letter for him.

Close vote in the Senate re the Venezuela war powers bill. Required Vance’s vote to pass the bill. The bill provides Trump with power to militarily engage further in Venezuela. Two Senators who initially opposed the bill changed their votes following pressure from Trump’s people.

Trump supports protesters, EXCEPT for those protesting him. A growing number!

Despite Trump’s claims, grocery prices are rising. Terrible! American families getting destroyed in the process. Many forced to cut back on quality and volume in order to be able to afford food.

Makes me wonder if Trump is cutting back. I suspect his meals have remained the same. His body appearance supports such an observation.

There are cheap days to visit Disney World. Better phrased, cheaper days. Two fold. Mid January to early February and the month of August.

On this day in 1953, Harry Truman was the first President to use radio and TV for his Farewell Address.

I agree.

Visited with Dr. Blass yesterday. Cancer surgery continues to mend. Probably another two months to go.

I looked at the wound. Appeared a wee bit larger than a quarter. Looked good to my layman’s eye. Dr. Blass pleased with the progress. 

He remediated and bandaged. I see him next week. One problem is I hurt after he does his thing. All night and still this morning. The cause primarily involves the final bandage on the wound. It is medicated. Sticks to the wound. One week later when removed, hurts like hell!

Power corrupts. The more one has, the more one wants. Might does not make right.

Trump the perfect example. He began his term roughly six months ago. First it was colleges and universities. Law firms, also. Now other nations.

Where next? Only one place left. Heaven. God is in His Heaven, all is right with the world. What a smashing victory it would be for Donald!

Donald is sick. Badly. He has to be stopped. He is screwing up the entire world. 

He is a bully, also. Bullies are big guys who go after little guys. Compared to the U.S., Greenland is a very tiny country. Only 30,000 people. It will take Denmark and NATO to save it from Trump’s greedy hands. 

As Venezuela was fentanyl inspired for the attack when in reality Trump was really after the oil, Trump is bullshitting the world with the excuse he must save Greenland from Russia and China. Trump is merely a pig. He wants to show the world how “big” he and the U.S. are. Nothing more.

Cuba and Mexico will follow.

Keep in mind Trump’s most recent words re Greenland: “One way or the other, we’re going to have Greenland.”

Trump continues to be tariff crazy. He is imposing a 25 percent tariff on all countries that do business with Iran. He fights them first in their pocketbooks. Something he does not understand is that the ultimate consumer ends up paying. Many times the American buyer.

Epstein’s brother claims Epstein was murdered in jail. Not a suicide. He said medical and physical proof being compiled will prove the same. The proof will be released in February.

Fifteen thousand nurses have gone on strike in New York City. Their demands are for increased pay and other benefits.

The hospitals struck seem to have been prepared for the event. Most had temporary nurses close to the striking number available to work. 

Mayor Mamdani stood outside in the cold with the striking nurses to show his support .

A “jumping spider” the newest recommended pet. I find such unattractive. However if certain American people are turned on by them, they should go for it. Ugh!

Two nurses yesterday. Paige and Sara.

Paige a physical therapist. She worked me in the house. I basically did well. Tired me a bit.

I was in an ambitious mood. Suggested we walk outside. A different nurse had walk me one half block last week. A big deal!

I pushed with Paige. We walked three blocks. Big time for me. I did well. Well till about two hours later when suddenly a feeling of exhaustion overwhelmed me. I was tired the rest of the day. Proud nevertheless that I had done the three blocks.

Sara my butt nurse. I spent many days in the hospital and home in bed thereafter. I developed butt sores. Taking forever to correct. Primarily my fault. I am not the best patient in caring for the problem at home. However, and it is a big however, this was the second week in a row that Sara complimented my improvement instead of chastising me. Like getting a gold star!

The longest burning light bulb has been shining since 1901. It presently is on 24 hours a day in a San Francisco fire house. The second longest burning light has been glowing since 1908. Both impressive!

Wyatt Earp died this day in 1929 in Los Angeles. He was 80 years old.

Earp did not spend his entire life in the West of cowboys. He steadily moved to the Pacific Ocean. He mined gold and owned saloons along the way.

The last several years of his life were spent as an unpaid technical consultant in western movies. He became good friends with many of the western stars of the day, It is reported he had a close relationship with Tom Mix who openly cried at Earp’s funeral.

Hopefully, I will make it to The Grand tonight. It has been weeks since I last enjoyed the patrons at the bar. I have had a desire for fried calamari lately. I shall satisfy it tonight.

Mark Kelly is being pushed to the wall by Trump and his cronies. Kelly has sued Hegseth for the negatives he has said about his Navy career, his reduction in rank and reduction of pension. Trump fears Kelly. He should. A U.S. Senator, former astronaut and 25 year Navy veteran. A man with a clean record. One of service to his country. Trump has given less years to his country. Most have been corrupt.

The U.S. has changed dramatically since January. From the time Trump took office again.

We must return to days of yesteryear. Today not normal. We cannot live with ICE, other federal agents and the military living in our cities. Abusing Americans.

Only one way to accomplish this. Trump has to go. He is getting closer to being deposed. Whenever not soon enough.

No foreign country is safe. Nor any U.S. person internally who disagrees with him. Donald wants to rule as he sees fit. Everything. Must be difficult for him, though he is not aware of his shortcomings. He is a man who knows the Constitution as well as he knows the Bible. He comes up short with both.

His most recent attack yesterday. Federal prosecutors commenced an investigation into Chairman of the Federal Reserve Jerome Powell. Simply because the two disagree on whether interest rates should be cut.

Trump appears to dislike Blacks. He hates them. The government should never have helped them. His most recent statement to the effect that Civil Rights led white people to being “very badly treated.”

Good people do not want to be associated with Trump. They are deserting him. The Kennedy Center a perfect example. After performing at the Kennedy Center for many years, the Washington National Orchestra announced it will no longer do so.

Amos and Andy debuted on Chicago radio this day in 1926. I enjoyed the show for many years. Even onto television.

Big day in professional football! It was this day in 1969 that the Jets won the Super Bowl. A Joe Namath victory. My Father and I watched the game together from his living room. Exciting!

On this day in 2010, an earthquake in Haiti killed 100,000 people.

First publications can bring in a lot of money! The first Superman comic book was published in 1938 and sold for 10 cents. Considered the “Holy Grail” of comic books. Also an “Icon of American Pop Culture.”

What does “gravy train” mean? By definition: “A much exploited source of easy money.” A sweet place to be. Unexpected and generally unearned success. My motto re the same: Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth.

Shrimping in Key West was big business in the late 1940s and into the 1950s. On this day in 1952, there were 250 shrimp trawlers. Brought in 2,500 shrimp per trip.

Two nurse visits today. Paige at noon for physical therapy, Sara at 2:15 to care of my sore butt from lying in bed so long.

Repetition is key to success. Doing good, not evil. Keep in mind Mark Kelly. A good guy for our next President. Not a Trumpie. Kelly presently a U.S. Senator, former astronaut and 25 year Navy veteran. The things Trump has never been. And Kelly has never been any of the deplorable things Trump is.

Smarto Donald Trump has done it again. A major screw up!

While Trump was sitting in the White House with representatives of the major oil companies trying to work out a deal with them, China was negotiating successfully to buy more than half of Venezuela’s oil presently and in future years. More Venezuela/China oil deals expected.

The oil companies sitting in Washington said a deal was not possible. They knew what Donald did not. That China was working to make a deal with Venezuela at the very same time.

Smart ass lost again!

He has not addressed the China purchase publicly yet. 

In the meantime, both he and Maria Corina Machado have advised that the two will meet and she will give Trump the Nobel Peace Prize she was awarded in 2025. The one Donald had and still does have his tongue hanging out for. Whether the Nobel Peace Prize will still move over to Trump in view of China’s brilliant move remains to be seen.

Yesterday the Nobel Peace Prize Committee advised a transfer to Trump would be improper and not recognizable under their rules.

At the moment it appears Trump’s Venezuelan moves have left the U.S. with Venezuela’s problems with nothing significant in return.

Trump does not understand. Refuses to understand. He is being authoritarian. Even fascist. Greenland does not want to be part of the U.S.

Greenland and the rest of the world understands. Only Trump does not. The pig is in the move!

Trump claims the U.S. must take over Greenland to prevent China or Russia from doing so. They have not tried in all these years. Why does he think either would try now?

The U.S. is supposed to be a democracy. Not so when Trump says the Greenland take over will take place “whether they like it or not.”

In the meantime, Canada and many NATO countries are gearing up to oppose a U.S. takeover. Some are considering an action to oppose a U.S. take over even before the U.S. makes its first move.

Trump is going to get us into a world war. With everyone against us. Bombs and boots on the ground will be in the U.S. Our young will be involved. My grandkids Robert and Ally will be in uniform.

None of us want this bullshit. We must depose Trump as soon as possible.

Trump is even offending God. Pope Leo has had to chastise Trump twice this past week.

ICE screwed up in Minneapolis. A 34 year old mother of three is dead. Shot in the face. Trump reacted appropriately from his perspective. Word is he is sending in 1,000 more federal agents.

Is this our U.S.? Does the U.S. still belong to the people? Donald has done an excellent job of screwing everything up. He has to go!

Stephen Miller is one of Trump’s closet advisers. Perhaps the closest. His advise too far to the right and extremely authoritarian. Senator Thom Tillis spoke of Miller thusly: “I’m sick of stupid.” We all are!

Basically the world is protesting the U.S. No wonder. Trump screwing up all over the place. Trump’s actions are uniting the world against us. I fear bad could come from this. Bad for the U.S. We are becoming Hitler’s Germany. Look where Hitler and Germany ended up!

Corey is excited! His alma mater is Indiana. Received his Bachelor Degree in archeology there.

Football never a winner till this season. Indiana #1 in the nation. Just beat Oregon 56-22.

Our President in 2028 should be Mark Kelly. How can we do better than a person that is a U.S. Senator, was an astronaut and 25 year Navy veteran. Donald was none of those. Never an elected official, never an astronaut, never a military person. He had spurs in his heels. I question the spurs, do not question he is a heel.

Donald Trump has spoken: “We’re in the oil business…..we’ll be selling oil.” He claims the U.S. will remain in Venezuela until the country is safe, proper and judicious. Until it is able to transition to something. Probably and assumably an oil or oil companies.

What happened to the fentanyl?

Who is Trump kidding? The oil will stick to his hands and those of his family for many many years, if not forever. The Trumps know a good thing for themselves when they see it.

The U.S. Border Patrol also got into the fray in Minneapolis. Attacked high school students as they were leaving to go home. The scene descried as “animalistic.” Students beaten, even those on the ground. A viciousness which kept escalating. Provocation for the attack lacking. Schools closed for the balance of the week.

Is this the U.S.? Trump resign! Congress throw him out alternatively! Whatever, his time to go was yesterday. Get rid of him. Our country going downhill under his rule. The worst President I have seen in my 90 years.

A Minneapolis woman was shot and killed by an ice agent as she was driving. A mother of 3 and a poet. Trump, Vance and Noem lying about how her killing occurred. Covering their asses. The FBI is keeping State officials out of the investigation.

My America? Your America?

Republican defections in House and Senate votes increasing daily. Trump has to be getting nervous. The noose is tightening. 

Think about this. The U.S. does not need Venezuela’s oil. Which means Trump is going after it to enrich his own pockets.

Trump is sick. His knowledge and understanding of national and international laws nearly non-existent in many respects. He now claims very clearly that the only limit on his global powers is his “own morality.” Trump judging himself. The King judging his own actions.

This “my own morality” is one of the arguments Trump is using to brush aside international law in his attempt for the U.S. to own Greenland.

Trump does what he wants. Till now. Everything collapsing in around him.

His family gaining financially. Which means Donald himself doing so. He will benefit from those riches when he is out of office.

Hollywood has returned to Key West.  Filming a movie. Basically about Key West and the Keys. Only one day of shooting outside the Keys. 

The City of Key West an oldie. It was incorporated this day in 1828.

Canada is standing strong against the U.S. It believes the U.S. has become guilty of “Gangster Fascism.”

While getting a haircut yesterday, I ran into Aaron Whecter. If I spelled his last name incorrectly, I apologize. One of my first Key West friends. We have not seen each other in years. We both hope to remedy that loss.

We need an old type, old time President. That person is Mark Kelly. A U.S. Senator, former astronaut and 25 year Navy veteran.

Another Trump we need not.

I have been up since 5 this morning working on this and that. Today’s blog one of the items. Never completed my research till now. Ergo, the blog is late today. Sorry.

Trump is now a minor part of Mar-a-Lago. A very minor part. Perhaps merely a room. The New York million dollar lawsuit he lost plus its significant interest has finally resulted in the New York Attorney General being able to levy on the property to help satisfy the New York debt owed by Trump.

I would not be surprised in Trump Towers and other Trump properties soon follow in a similar vein.

The world is catching up with Donald!

Maduro winning the Venezuela battle at this point from his New York cell. What the world sees is Trump wants Venezuela and may improperly have taken it. He may be improperly holding on to it. Many American nations, European and Asian ones also, are standing together against the U.S.

Trump miscalculated. Four days post taking, no one seems to be standing with Donald in supporting the U.S. action, except Trump and his hoods.

An international meeting is scheduled for Monday. I suspect the U.S. is going to be deservedly abused big time.

Pope Leo is reducing the manner in which Christmas henceforth is to be celebrated. The world is reacting with anger and confusion.

Leo said he is not canceling Christmas, he is merely indicating “sacrifice,” not “celebration,” is what Christmas should be.

Leo believes Christmas has  been an expression of “wealth.” Claims it should not be. Believes we need more help for the poor and attention to their needs.

I do not agree with him. I give big time to those in need at Christmas. I believe the U.S. affluent generally do. Perhaps such is not the case in Peru or other lesser countries that Leo has served.

My advice is do not try to change what is working in the U.S. Do so in other places if you can actually see the need is required.

I speak from 90 years of experience. The Pope his lifetime also. He may be wrong in this instance. I fear he may be reacting in Chicago fashion. Mafioso style. Jump in and do what you believe is correct when it may not be.

Syracuse beat Georgia Tech in basketball Tuesday night 82-72. Syracuse having another topsy tury season. Winning some, losing some. Nothing to get excited about.  Its record now 10/5. Georgia Tech was an “equal opponent.” Its record now 10/6. 

I recall some of the Boeheim days. We had great basketball teams.  Boeheim only faltered near the end of his career. I rarely missed a basketball or football game for 20 years. I had a private box seating 16 with a bar and server. The were fun games, even if Syracuse lost. I followed the basketball team everywhere, especially New York city. Also wherever and whenever Syracuse was playing a big game. Even did four Final Fours.

The Senate blocked Trump’s takeover of Kennedy Center. Good bye to Donald’s name on the building and I assume his self-appointed Board of Directors.

Some oil firms say they are owed billions for earlier Venezuelan investments. Companies like Exxon Mobile and Concord Phillip claim the money is owed for investments some two decades ago.

Proof Trump did not do his homework. Probably no homework re the insurance companies before he attacked Venezuela and captured Maduro. His months of “planning” were not sufficient. The “smart man” shot from the hip again without adequate research.

Trump’s next job? To hear him talk, he might consider giving up the Presidency to have a full time job at Kennedy Center. Perhaps as its Director.

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney in a recent White House meeting told Trump “to shut up!” He was upset Trump was knocking Obama and did not understand Canada was not for sale.

A Minnesota ICE person shot a Minnesota woman to death as she was operating her car. A perfect example of ICE being weaponized.

Trump has to go! ICE has to go! Most if not all Trump’s programs must go! 

We must return to the normal U.S. we once knew.

Videos show the ICE agent who did the shooting lied. Trump appears to have done so also, as well as Homeland Security Secretary Noem.

Forget not Mark Kelly. Honest and dependable. Experienced in many ways. Would make a great President!

The world is screwed up. Getting worse by day. Primarily caused directly and indirectly by Trump. The falling and disarray of an American President sufficient to blow up the good achieved since World War II.

Trump and Rubio have made much to do about taking down Venezuela. Next may be Cuba, An easy one. Small. Only 90 miles from the U.S. Key West military prepared to pounce. Appears Trump and Rubio working on it.

Woe be Trump and Rubio. Woe be us. One war after another will lead to many. Bombs and adversarial soldiers on the ground will occur on U.S. soil. Many Americans will die. We may lose a generation of our young. I fear for Robert and Ally.

Hegseth playing/doing Trump’s dirty. His attack on Mark Kelly the most recent. By attacking Kelly, Hegseth is helping Trump to early get rid of  a possible 2028 Presidential candidate. Kelly a good man whose principles are basically diametrically opposed to Trump’s.

Kelly too strong and respected. Hegseth will bite the dust on this one.

Pope Leo XIV will not tolerate adversity to the Papacy and himself directly. Forget not that the Papacy is a government also. As such it has members near the top who believe they have been God appointed and are equal to the Pope in power. Over the years they have become a Papacy within the Papacy, answerable only to the themselves.

The Jesuits are such a group. The top seven Jesuits who are Cardinals and operate within the Church’s government in Rome decided to take on Leo. Set the record straight so to speak as to who was boss and who merely a figurehead.

Leo said up yours in effect. Took them on immediately and publicly. Fired the top seven Jesuit Cardinals in the Papacy, he expelled them from the Papacy the same day. No longer would they operate from within as they had done for years. Threw them out. Arranged for temporary sleeping quarters elsewhere. Even fired the head of the Jesuit order internationally, appointing a new person to lead them. A person of his choosing.

I like Leo. He is Pope and is exercising his leadership role. He will not tolerate those who abuse him. He meets them head on and deals with them as he did the formerly all powerful Jesuits.

Go Leo! Do the job as you see fit. Do the job you were elected to do. As you are doing. Meet opposition strongly as you have.

Trump is doing well with Canada! A joke! He has destroyed a forever strong relationship in a small time.

Canadian Artic Waters an example. Belong to Canada. Permitted the U.S. to use them. The U.S. always claimed the water belonged to the U.S., their right to use proprietary.

Canada has obviously become pissed with the U.S. The U.S. forbidden to use Artic Waters. Probably will have to pay. The loss a $900 billion one annually. Includes the vast minerals available. Gold and diamonds big.

Elon Musk’s Grok.com is flooding the internet with sexually explicit photos of women and minors. He must be advised to cease and desist. What he is doing is a misuse of AI generated content.

If the U.S. tries or does take over Greenland, it will be the end of NATO. How destructive Trump has been and will be. Plays right into Putin’s hands.

One of Trump’s most trusted aides is Stephen Miller. A whack job in his own right. He says the world must be governed by “force.” The U.S. needs this type advice like a hole in the head! Trump’s advisers primarily Hitlerite’s.

On this day in 1927, the Harlem Globetrotters played their first game. I recall in my grammar and high school years they visited Utica once a year. My Dad always took me.
