A quiet evening.
Early afternoon watched Trump’s speech. Thought it was going to be a foreign policy talk. Not. Turned out to be primarily about ISIS.
The talk contained nothing new. Discussed by him in the past. Many parts erroneous. His basic thrust he was going to stop ISIS. Details few as to how.
I suspect he wrote the speech himself.
A lot of nothing. All bones, no meat.
Brought to mind one of the passages from Macbeth. The passage deals with life and death. However has application to Trump and what he says. “…..a poor player that struts and frets his hour upon the stage and then is heard no more. It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.”
Trump is on trial in federal court in West Palm Beach. The trial started yesterday. A civil suit. Breach of contract. $6 billion by unhappy golf club members. Trump testified yesterday. By a recorded deposition made in April 2015.
Most of my day time hours were spent preparing for tonight’s podcast. My blog talk radio show. Tuesday Talk with Key West Lou. As usual, a fast moving half hour of interesting topics. Some revealing.

Louis, I have to contra comment re your Trump speech commet. Otherwise all your libdem blog readers will believe what you wrote about Trump’s great speech. It was great. Everything about Trump is great unlike Lying Crooked Hillary. So there.
I genuinely dislike both of the major party nominees, but Trump’s speech was wildly inaccurate. That’s not my opinion. I don’t understand how you can applaud someone who makes sport of lying, then call HRC “Lying Crooked Hillary.” To add some substance, ISIS is not he result of Obama/Clinton policy. It came out of the 2003 invasion of Iraq, which Trump very publicly supported. His figure about ISIS being responsible for an attack every 84 hours (I think that’s the correct number) is a manipulation of data designed to inflate the figure. Since the caliphate was announced in 2014, it’s more like once a month. On Libya, was it handled correctly? No. But let’s all remember Trump was very much in support of intervening in Libya. Here’s a published Trump quote from 2011: “Gaddafi in Libya is killing thousands of people. Nobody knows how bad it is, and we’re sitting around. We have soldiers all over the Middle East, and we’re not bringing them in to stop this horrible carnage, and that’s what it is: It’s a carnage. Now, we should go in, we should stop this guy, which would be very easy and very quick.”
Perhaps the best portion of the speech was this: “Hillary Clinton lacks the judgement, the temperament and the moral character to lead this nation.” Donald freaking Trump, who’s in the conscience largely because of a reality TV show, has the audacity to disparage someone else’s judgment and temperament. The guy who got in a week long feud, comprising any lead he may have had, because he couldn’t let a perceived slight from a Gold Star family go. From where I sit, that speech was a turd on every objective criteria.

I listened to hillary and uncle joe. I doubt I’ll ever like one of their speeches. She just keeps spewing her lying bravo sierra. joe is just clueless.
