    I am so so sorry to hear of your loss. I feel your pain. It will be three years, 5/25, that my Dad passed away. I miss him every day.. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

    I read your blog every day. It’s one of the ways I keep up with Key West when I am not there. I am so very sorry to hear about your father’s passing. (Been there)

  4. So sorry Lou, I lost my dad when I was 14 and he was only 47 at the time. I know it’s small comfort right now but as you said, he had a long life. Best wishes, your loyal readers have you in our thoughts.

  5. My sincere sympathies at the loss of your Father. I wish you and your family well in this sad time. I am glad Robert and Ally got the opportunity to know their Great Grandfather; so few do today. He indeed lived a good and long life!

Your depiction of him in your previous writings made it obvious that he did a wonderful job in raising you as his son. I hope you continue to honor him and carry his torch for many more happy years.

  13. Just found the info about your father’s passing. I always found him to be kind, cheerful and companionable. You were so lucky to have him for so long in your life. I believe the genes are in your favor to live a long and happy life too….Ann
