CABINET KISSES ASS

Trump news overwhelming. Directly and indirectly. On a daily basis.

Yesterday’s Cabinet meeting. The camera went around the table and captured comments by each Cabinet member telling Trump what a great job he was doing.

Actually, sickening. Powerful independent people in their other lives paying adulation to a leader not entitled to their words.

The Cabinet represents the President’s chief advisers. They fail when they kiss ass.

Trump’s comments at the same Cabinet meeting. Claimed he was one of the most productive Presidents in American history. He has passed more legislation at a record setting pace. Only Franklin Delano Roosevelt could come close.

Trump deceives himself. He is a mental case. He and Roosevelt are not even close to being in the same class. Name one piece of major legislation Trump has passed.

Boeing. I thought Trump beat up Boeing early on. Brought Boeing to the table of submission. Trump’s message to Boeing understood: My way or the highway.

Boeing is now building or in the planning stage to build plants in China, Saudi Arabia and India. Boeing says worry not. The overseas moves will not reduce the number of jobs Boeing has in the United States.

What about increasing jobs? Much needed jobs!

Trump is like Nero. One played a musical instrument. Trump keeps looking at himself in the mirror and reciting what a good boy am I. Nero so doing while Rome burned. The other while America dies.

Boeing secured $50 billion in defense and commercial sales from Saudi Arabia during Trump’s recent state visit. The pact included an agreement to complete Boeing Apache attack helicopters in Saudi Arabia.

Boeing is also interested in assembling fighter jets in India. A deal involving more than 100 planes.

Does color matter?

Public Theater has been presenting Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar in a modern setting. Donald Trump is portrayed as Caesar. A Caesar dressed in a business suit with a long tie who gets knifed to death on the stage. Hair Trump style.

Delta and Bank of America pulled their sponsorships of the show.

The same play toured the United States in 2012 by The Acting Company. Caesar was played by an Afro-American actor in a business suit. Closely resembled Obama.

No one withdrew their sponsorships nor were there any adverse comments.

Last night began with delivering Terri to Aqua. I did not go in. Hurried to Tavern ‘n Town for a bite to eat and read the newspapers. The season is over and seats at the bar available.

Returned to Aqua afterwards. Enjoyed the end of Terri’s performance. Chatted with Donna. Lynda and Bob Frechette also.

Tom Luna and Rick Dey the Dueling Bartenders.

Key West is fortunate to have Donna and Terri and Lynda and Bob and Tom and Rick as residents and supporters.

Home early. Part of my game plan for the evening. Wanted to catch the Cleveland/Golden State game. A good one! The Warriors have won it all. A new dynasty born.

My podcast tonight. Some Trump and some other things. All interesting. Join me at 9 my time. www.blogtalkradio.com/key-west-lou.

Enjoy your day!

At least Nero could play an instrument and provide some music. As for Emperor Trump’s Great accomplishments? I’d love to hear Letterman’s Top Ten List.

  2. Lynn – What exactly are you referring to in your reply to Lou’s blog post today? Was there something about Alabama or someone from Alabama that I missed in todays post, or are you pushing your own personal agenda?

  3. Trumps cabinet has an opportunity to apply some corrective action to Trumps tarnishing of America yet they take the low road and become part of the Deplorable Show. SAD!
Sessions didn’t do badly but he knows this is far from over and the special investigator is a pit bull. The reluctance on the part of Sessions and others to deny having conversations with the Donald, related to this issue, needs further attention. Either way, involved or not, Sessions is a sad throwback to the sad old south. Bigoted and determined to do the bidding of his prejudice when the law will allow him. He has a limited shelf life in the Trump circle and I think he knows that. Pack your bags Jeffie, consider it a favor considering you didn’t measure the standard of office anyway.

  4. Patrick – Thanks for info about Citizen Free Press. I just read it. Good info site as is Drudge that I read several times a day.

I’m shocked ! I thought you would think it just more bad judgement and lies from me.

I know, I should. Still trying to find out if it was her or her ‘hacker’. I’m pretty sure I know which. This’ll be it.

You were the first to bring it up and I thought you would be trying to figure out just who it was and which responses were yours or the ‘hackers’. You had opportunity for weeks to set the record straight. I’m thinking I should listen to Charles.

  8. Patrick – I just cannot figure out what you are talking about – hackers. And I don’t know why you would want to listen to Charles. What’s going on with all of you commenters anyway? I’m just commenting quietly and with grace and sophistication about what I believe. That’s all….

OK then, thats fine with me. I gave you plenty of time to explain before. You’re the one that has said you were hacked. You can ‘believe’ my judgement is bad and I’m a liar as you have said.
I don’t agree with Charles that often, but, this time he may be right. I’m just checking.

  10. Patrick – if I said ‘loosely’ that I had been hacked – by any of the blog whackos – it was merely a figure of speech. I really ought to refer to the blog comment treatment that Charles and the other whackos offer me as a formidable attack on my persona. You think? Those whackos owe me a bunch of ‘I’m sorry’.

Apparently you don’t understand what I’m referring to.

Some statements were made using your name that you said were not made by you. Remember that ?

There were statements made using your name about me, remember them ?

You were given opportunity to respond back then.

To me, someone using another’s name to leave posts here is being hacked. Maybe thats the wrong term.

You may want ‘ a bunch of I’m sorry’ from others and I would agree. I only want to know whether you said what was posted about me using your name, thats all. I’ve been trying to get to the bottom of this as easily and as quickly as possible, but, you haven’t been responsive until now.

  12. Patrick – Yes, let’s get to the bottom of this matter. Could you please copy/paste/post on blog what exactly was said and when, so I can read or reread it? I do not recall it. Possibly I did not read it. There are days when I do not read the blog. There are days as you have noticed that I do not comment either. Could you find that comment please?

Lets start with your remarks of 5/22/17, Let Them Eat Cake. There are others, but, that date/title comes to mind.

  14. Oh Patrick, continue with Diana if you must but remember I did warn you.

Here is a history of posting I have made in reply to what Diana posted. She and Trump may share a touch of megalomania. Just a possibility but this is for certain, her claim for an apology is baseless. Perhaps she considers challenging an ultra right wing nationalist some kind of slight but I strongly disagree. I’m glad to be considered a ‘Whacko” for defending America against such persons. Regardless, it is honest, accurate and adequately respectful and that is a whole lot more than Diana can say about anything that comes from Trump.

Diana, since “Jarles” has posted quite a few times it is most likely intended. How many times can you repeat the same mistake when typing?. However, speaking of mistakes, Trump is a failure and will continue to be so. His declaration to the rise of Nationalism is already laughable. France first, Theresa May second, oh so many will not support the Trump/Bannon agenda, here and abroad……in politics sometimes a burp is just a burp, like America embracing Reagan’s trickle down theory. Fear not Diana, Trump is nothing more than an unfortunate occurrence, a broken jar in an aisle of the grocery store. A little effort and determination and it’s problem solved. Let the cleanup begin!

Diana, disappointed with Comey yet not with Trump? So sad that so many got hooked on Trump smack. Fear not, those of us who resisted “fixing” will fix it, just sit back and watch.

Diana, all in all I feel compelled to give Lou a pass. His continued affiliation with yourself lacks wonderment. Usually he displays better judgment. One more thing, get some new material the Soros thing is way over-played and so “yesterday”.

    Diana,
I’m not sure if you are correct, but let’s assume you are. We shouldn’t be too hard on the mystery woman, I’d be a drunken mess too if I had to support/defend the Brietbart Administration of Bannon/Trump. If it was a politically motivated attack on Louis, it’s likely she was just emulating the tone that was set by DT, remember the rallies?. Lou, good play taking the high road, that probably irked her more than anything.

Diana was your comment for me or Steve? Regardless, history is full of “fake news” as it is often written by the victors, but your point regarding the library card is well taken. I had one at a young age and became quite familiar with the Dewey Decimal System. I’m glad to hear your evening was enjoyable.

True liberty, free from draconian religious influence and hypocritical values is more a liberal value than a conservative one.
Like the Founding Fathers, I’ll take liberty over loyalty every time.

Actually Diana, relevant or not I am a fiscal conservative, I like to see return for outlay. That applies to finance and social programs. Not afraid to spend on an acceptable value to cost ratio. I believe done right and prudently, they both pay good dividends.
Now on social issues the liberal/libertarian label is quite appropriate and considered an honor. When it comes to consenting adults it’s live and let live. So I guess if you want to be precise, I’m a libercon?

Hate is what Trump is about Diana, like American patriots many rise-up and fight when we begin to fall prey to the ugly that will lead to dark places. I can’t help if so many chose poorly, that is a frailty in democracy, but America and the World community will resist the likes of Trump and those who use fear and bigotry to further a dark agenda. It was a red flag when the despicable, such as Duke and Bannon, supported Trump. To ignore that is sad and naive. It is really quite simple Diana, what kind of person does one choose to be.

Charles on February 10, 2017 at 3:12 am said:
Wow, I thought the frequent Trump campaign rhetoric of going back to the conduct of Bill Clinton to justify the vile nature of Trump was unfortunate, but to travel way back to Truman is a real “turn back the hands of time” moment. There is no “past practice” defense that is relevant here.
