I started the day yesterday with a bicycle ride. First time in a long time.
I rode around my island. Key Haven.
We are into summer time here. Have been for a long time. It has impacted the foliage. Every thing is massively overgrown. Everything needs not just a hair cut, but a crew cut!
Lunch at the Yacht Club. Read for a while afterwards at Borders. Then home to do some paper work.
I stayed in last night. Unusual. I was in the mood to do nothing.
This morning golf! I am anxious! May I play well! Hope springs eternal!
Lou – I stumbled across your blog a few months ago during the long dark days of a northern winter. i first visited Key West 10 years ago and have been a frequent visitor (3 – 4 times per year) ever since. I fell in love with the island when we drove in for the first time…I somehow felt at home. For all its positives and negatives (and there are lots of both) I am constantly drawn back.
Since finding your blog, each day at the office starts with a quick review of emails, then to your site to find out about your day. It somehow makes me feel connected to the place. It also serves to remind me that there is a way to live in KW. I just wish I could work it out.
